Alice K. Decker, 92, formerly of Montour Falls, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Elmira on February 18, 1922, the daughter of the late Oswald and Sarah (Rugaber) Kambeitz. She married Hugh Decker on May 10, 1942. Alice was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and former member of the Montour Falls United Methodist Church choir and director of the children's choir. She was predeceased by her husband Hugh, and by several brothers and sisters. Alice is survived by her daughter, Diane (Richard) Webster of Illinois; her son, Lawrence (Marian) Decker of Ithaca; a sister, Ruth Murphy of Florida; a brother, Bob Kambeitz of California; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held privately by the family. Alice will be laid to rest beside her husband in Montour Cemetery.
