Ann Wood, age 76, Alpine, NY Ann Wood joined family members who had gone before her on June 3, 2013. She died at her beloved farm home surrounded by her nephews Nubby (Andrew) Fudala Jr. and Tom Wood. Ann will be remembered for her willingness to leave all decisions in the Lord's hands, knowing that He had the best plans for her. A celebration of Ann's life will be held at 2 PM on Sunday June 9 at the United Methodist Church of Odessa. Ann was an active member of the Odessa United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the friendships and mutual faith that she found in worshiping there. She had a special fondness for Shelia and Rich Price. Ann will be remembered for her generosity and kind words. She had a special talent for baking apple pies and enjoyed sharing them. She was also an avid quilter and made many special quilts for her family members. Ann will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, special friend and confidant Mable Wood. They were neighbors and shared many cups of tea together. Ann's happiest days were spent with her family, her daughter Cherith (John) Keeton, Evie (Greg) Noden, grandchildren Leah Hooper, Forrest, Maeve & Marshall Keeton and Mariah Noden, partner Dick Dodge, sister Charlotte McCarty and many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her partner Dick Dodge, only son Frederick Swader, parents, Charles and Vera Wood, brothers, Tim & Fred Wood and sisters Alma Fudala and Ester Hayes. Memorial donations may be directed to Odessa United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
