Barbara E. Brown, 84, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Montour Falls, NY on July 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Claude and Marion Caslin and graduated from Watkins Glen Central School. Barbara was an ART Medical Transcriptionist. At one point in time, she could type 180 words a minute. She worked for many hospitals over the years, including Arnot Ogden Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Schuyler Hospital, Ira Davenport Hospital, VA Medical Center in Bath, and East Pasco Hospital in FL. Her first job was at age 15, waitressing at Chef's until she graduated from high school. Barbara enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Kendall of Watkins Glen and Suzanne Kendall of Glendale, Oregon; son, Kenneth (Sandra) Kendall of Montour Falls; brothers, Judd Caslin of Burdett and Steven Caslin of Rockford, IL; sister, Diana Burt of Jacksonville, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Brown and by a son, Mitchell Kendall. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Locust Lane in Watkins Glen.
