Basil Alan Rhoads, 59, of Beaver Dams, NY, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2022. He was born in Corning, NY, the son of Basil C. and Shirley Jean Rhoads. He worked construction in Texas then with auto mechanics and carpentry. His enjoyments were spending time with his dogs Diesel and best friend Rucco. He also enjoyed time spent with his son Andrew and his family racing stock cars around our area(s) tracks. He also enjoyed his time 4-wheeling and recently was fixing up an older model motorcycle. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Wells who passed in 2021; his father, Basil C. Rhoads; and granddaughter, Stacey Shrout. He is survived by his mother, Shirley J. Rhoads; one son, Andrew Rhoads (Diane Shrout) of Beaver Dams, NY; sister Sheila (Paul) Daudelin of Beaver Dams, NY; Terry Freeze of Lima, NY; Jeanne (Don) Struble of Hemlock, NY; Lori Rhoads of Lakeville, NY; grandchild, James (Rebecca) Shrout of Beaver Dams, NY; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
