Bernice V. Dibble, age 94, of Montour Falls, died August 29, 2012, peacefully with her family by her side. She was born September 5, 1917, in Avoca, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Brasted. She graduated from Haverling High School in Bath and worked in housekeeping, retail and at the Eclipse factory in Elmira Heights during World War II. She married Doris C. Dibble on September 24, 1945. The couple moved to a farm outside Montour Falls three years later, where they raised four children. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas; her husband, Doris, who died in 2000; a brother Murle Brasted; and a sister Clara Murry. She is survived by sons, Richard Dibble (Josephine Estrada) of Long Island and Robert (Dawn) Dibble of Montour Falls; a daughter, Susan Dibble of Glen Ellyn, IL; granddaughters, Cristina (William) Stroup of New Port Richey, FL and Diana Dibble of San Diego, CA; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 10-11 AM followed by a funeral service with Rev.
