It is with broken hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Brendyn Christopher Hammond, age 22, of Odessa, NY, on August 21, 2025, alongside his dogs Zofia and Jax.

Born on February 20, 2003, Brendyn was the son of Christopher and Alyssa Hammond and the cherished brother of Ashlyn Hammond and Kaila Hammond (Dontai Hazelett). He is also survived by his grandparents, Sandra Montgomery (Granny Sandy), and Mike & Dianna Overhiser (Ol' Man & Other Grandma). He will be forever missed by the love of his life, Molly Parillo, and shared many years of friendship with his best friend, Ryan "Cupcake" Meier. Brendyn was surrounded with love by tons of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and countless friends.

He was met in heaven by his beloved grandpa, Paul Montgomery, and his childhood dog, Bentley; along with several other cherished family members.

Brendyn had a gift for bringing joy into the lives of those around him. He loved working alongside his dad, learning how to build and create. As well as playing board games and spending quality time with his family. He found excitement in riding his dirt bike with friends, spending hours playing video games, going hunting with his Grandpa Mike, and laughing with Molly until his belly hurt.

He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, his radiant smile, his enormous heart, and for giving the best hugs. Brendyn was the life of the party and had a way of lighting up any room he walked into. His willingness to help anyone in need will be his lasting legacy.

Brendyn's time here was far too short, but his impact on those who loved him will last forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 2-4 pm at Bethel Fellowship Church, 2035 State Route 14, Montour Falls. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm.
