Obituary

Brian Paul West formerly from Corning, NY passed away on Friday, June 3rd, 2021 due to many ongoing heath issues. Brian was born on October 24th, 1959 to the late Richard L. West Sr. and Dorothy Jean (Evans) West. After graduating high school from Corning-Painted Post East High School in 1978 he went on to attend the Williamsport Area Community College where he received a degree in general machining. He dedicated his life to being the best father and machinist possible. With his talents and passion he was able to fulfill his life dream of opening and operating his own machine shop in Odessa, NY. After that he spent the most of his life traveling and working in many cities throughout New York State and down the east coast. One of which was Rochester, NY. He spent many years there, he considered the city his second home. Brian enjoyed taking road trips, spending time at the lakes, campfires with family and friends, NASCAR, playing cards, listening to good music and never missed an never missed an opportunity to be outside in the sun. His story telling of his life experiences and the knowledge he had gained will be greatly missed. Brian is survived by his daughter, Brianna (Russell Crainey)West of Odessa, her mother and Grandmother Brenda (Casterline) Du Vall of Odessa, Sandra Casterline of Painted Post, his sister Kimberly Ann (Josh) Elks, his youngest sister Rebecca Lynn (Tom) Speciale, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his older brother, Richard West Jr., and nephews Christopher Field and Roderick Field. A private service for his family will be held at a later date.
