Bruce D. Gunning, 74, of Burdett, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was born in Montour Falls on August 26, 1942, the son of the late John and Margaret (Clymer) Gunning. He was predeceased by his son Scott Gunning. Bruce worked as an operating engineer with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 545 for many years. He was a member of the Burdett Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Burdett Fire Department. Bruce is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Gunning; daughter, Pamela Arcangeli (Dan Towner) of Burdett; grandchildren, Hunter, Colton and Parker Arcangeli; sisters, Geta (Pierre) Biever, and Sue Dean of Burdett; brother, Clair Gunning (Peggy States)of Burdett; sister-in-law, Linda Arcangeli of Burdett; and by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 7-9 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Burdett Volunteer Fire Department Building Fund.
