DiDimizio, Carmella, age 84, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Schuyler Hospital following a brief illness. Carmella was born on August 31, 1927. Carmella had been involved with the ARC day program and continued to attend that program until late 2005. She had been a resident at the SOCR home prior to her admission to Seneca View in February 1997 where she has resided until her death. Carmella was very fashion conscience and always liked to be dressed up in brightly colored and matching outfits. She also enjoyed having her picture taken, especially after she had gotten new clothes and she also had some glamour photos taken in May 2011. Carmella enjoyed the activities at Seneca View including bingo, sing along, happy hour, coffee hour, Rosary and Church services. Carmella was a devout Catholic who possessed a great sense of humor. She was a very loving individual, especially toward the nursing staff who cared for her for the last 15 years, and those who knew her will miss her. A memorial service will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Mary's Of The Lake, 905 N. Decatur, Watkins Glen.
