Caroline L. Simpson, 70, of Beaver Dams, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center surrounded by her loving children. She was born in PennYan, NY the daughter of the late Allen and Irene (Brantner) Hatmaker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Ronald D. Simpson. Caroline is survived by her children; son, Anthony Simpson (Shelby Cooper) of Beaver Dams, NY, daughter, Victoria Simpson (Brian Morsdorf) of Port Byron NY; granddaughters, Lily Addison, Lillyan Jane and Mackenzie Rose; sisters Linda Campbell of Wayne, NY, and Donna (Art) Fausel of Milford, DE; several nieces and nephews. Caroline married Ronald Simpson on August 13, 1977 in Dundee, NY. They both owned and operated 414 Red & White Convenience Store in Watkins Glen for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Montour Falls and volunteered at the Schuyler County Food Pantry run by the church. She devoted her life to her kids, and family was most important to her. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial with committal prayers will follow in Montour Falls Cemetery.
