Cathy E. Krnotch

Cathy Elaine Krnotch, age 74, of Montour Falls, NY passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born in Penn Yan, NY on April 29, 1952.

Cathy attended Dundee Central School. She then furthered her education at BOCES and began work as a CNA at Schuyler Hospital, where she worked for 26 years. She served as a Girl Scout leader in Watkins Glen, NY and in her spare time enjoyed reading at the park with her dog, archery, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Cathy was loved by many close friends and neighbors.

Cathy is predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Floyd “Dick” and Sandy (Johns) Nageldinger; siblings, Barb (Eddie) Champlain, Richard Axtell, Eddie Nageldinger, Troy Nageldinger and Theresa Nageldinger.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Krnotch; beloved daughters, Stacy (Nahdeen) Walter and Crystal Brown; siblings, Larry Nageldinger and Dwyte (Carol) Nageldinger; sister-in-law Helen Axtell; grandchildren, Chris Mundt, Courtney Mundt, Alaina (Howard)Krnotch, Tori Krnotch, and Jonathan “Bubby” Krnotch; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Krnotch, Sean Krnotch, Carter Krnotch, Alexander Krnotch, and Howard Clugstone, Jr.;and by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at Arnot Ogden Medical Center for their kindness and compassion in Cathy’s final days, especially Stephanie, Courtney and Alyssa.
