Cecile A. McIlwain, 82, of Beaver Dams, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. She was born in Elmira, New York on June 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Charles and Katie (Dibble) Manwaring and graduated from Painted Post High School. Cecile was an aide at Barnell Homes in beaver Dams for many years. She loved to do plastic canvas, ceramics and enjoyed putting on toy parties. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Warren S. McIlwain; six children, Warren S. McIlwain, Jr. (Jerri) of AL, Julie McIlwain of Risingville, NY, Sherry (Steve) Woodworth of Corning, Lisa McIlwain of Wellsboro, Lori McIlwain of Lawrenceville and Scott (Caroline) McIlwain of Beaver Dams; a sister, Rose Bennett of Painted Post; seventeen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Cecile's family will hold services privately.
