Charles E. "Butch" Decker, 76, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on September 8, 1947 the son of the late William and Doris Field. He married his wife, Vicky Bennett Decker in Montour Falls on February 24, 1973. Butch retired out of Monterey Corrections as a NYS Correction Officer after 28 years and was a Taxidermist in his spare time. Charles was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He was a former member of the Millport Hunting Club, Mechanics Club and Fingerlakes Trollers Association. He loved watching the Miami Dolphins and watching his grandson Jax play sports. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Judy Croft, Gail Ann Burgess; brother, Robert Decker; and nephew, David Decker. Charles is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Vicky Decker; son, Chuck Decker (Kristen Page) and their son Jax of Watkins Glen, NY; daughter, Michelle Kendrick of SC; brothers, David (Lois) Decker of Rock Stream, NY and William (Megan) Field of Odessa; brother-in-law, Richard Croft of Odessa; sister-in-law, Rita Decker of Odessa; granddaughter, Courtney Hickey; and by several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
