Cheryl A. Boynton, 78, of Horseheads, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was born in Montour Falls, NY on January 25, 1946, the daughter of Francis and Joyce (Stone) Crane. She graduated from Odessa-Montour High School with the Class of 1964 and went on to attend college in Cobleskill for a year. Cheryl married Harry Boynton in 1998. She was an accountant at Cornell University and later a school bus driver for the Horsheads School District. Cheryl loved cars-classic, antique, and sports cars. She was a member of the Glen Region Sports Car Club, DAR-Chemung Chapter and Rebekah Lodge (Odd Fellows). She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 25 years, Harry Boynton; daughter, Rebecca (Tom) Neilson of CA; two stepsons, William Boynton and Robert (Peggy) Boynton of Great Falls, MT; two grandchildren, Keri (Adam) Leach and Styles Trinkl; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Aria and Avery; sister, Peggy Yaw; brothers, Francis (Lorraine) Crane, Terry Crane and Richard (Sylvia) Crane; special friend, Barbara Luther; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and by her brother, Jay Crane. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Cheryl on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 1-3 pm at Mechanic's Club, 237 W. Main St., Montour Falls, NY.
