Darlene C. Simpson, 81, of Cayuta, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was born in Cayuta, NY on September 11, 1937, the daughter of Earl and Beatrice (Doane) Collins. Darlene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed racing powder puffs. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles A. Simpson; her children, Kathleen Simpson-McConville, Steven (Alice) Simpson, Earle (Dee) Simpson, Robert (Glenda) Simpson, Brian (Wendy) Simpson, and Teresa (Joseph) Hradisky; grandchildren, Casey, Sean, Georgiana, Rhea, Cody, Chris, Megan, Dakota(Denna), Matthew, Desiree, Alec, and Ian; a great grandchild, Bentley; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Collins; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Robert Collins, sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Louie Eberhardt, and nephew, Todd Eberhardt. Darlene's funeral service will be held privately by the family. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10:00 am at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Odessa, NY. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Cayuta Free Church, 1100 Conkrite Rd., Cayuta, NY 14824. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
