David B. Comfort, Jr., 52, of Watkins Glen, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 19, 2017. He was born in Corning, the son of David B. Comfort, Sr. and Diane (Goltry) Comfort and graduated from Haverling High School in Bath. David worked at Glen Mountain Market in Watkins Glen and previously at the ARC of Schuyler. He enjoyed bowling, listening to country music and riding his bicycle. He was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Church. He is survived by his father and step mother, David and Sharon Comfort, Sr.; brother, Dustin; longtime companion, Beth Allen; step sister, Angela Stull; step brothers, Rick, Chris and Roger Hickok; aunts, Patricia Gascon, Joyce Groves and Kathy Goltry; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Diane Goltry. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 905 N. Decatur St., Watkins Glen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in S. Corning.
