Lt. David R. Fisher, 73, of Lockwood, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born in Odessa on September 24, 1943, the son of the late Frank and Elvena Fisher. He graduated from Odessa Montour High School and later attended SUNY Binghamton. David proudly served with the US Air Force from 1966-1970. He married the former Lorraine Myers in Odessa on August 4, 1962. David was a Lieutenant with the Cornell University Police Department for many years before retiring in 2002. He was a former member of the Cayutaville United Methodist Church, the Trumansburg American Legion, the VFW, and former member of the Mechanics Club. He enjoyed fishing, riding his four wheeler, and taking care of his puppies, Patches and Missy. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Fisher, and sister, Janice Scanlon. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorraine; a brother, Paul (Cathy)Fisher of VA; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Odessa. Contributions may be made in his memory to the SPCA.
