David "Dave" Moser, age 66, of Hector, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Porter) Moser, son, Seth Moser (Amanda Moser), brothers-in-law, Donald Simpson and Chris Cole, nieces, Jenna Cole Wilkens (John Wilkens) and Jillian Cole, and nephews, Butch Simpson (Lisa Simpson) and Andy Simpson (Kasey Simpson). Sadly, Dave was predeceased by his sisters, Shauna Simpson and Kathleen Cole. Dave retired after 30+ years from the Department of Transportation (DOT). During that time, Dave spent any free time he had working on the family grape farm. After retirement, Dave could be found tinkering in his barn, planting Christmas trees, or visiting one of many local breweries to socialize with the Hector community. Dave was always willing to share a good story or offer sage advice and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Valois Logan Hector Volunteer Fire Co., the Humane Society of Schuyler County, or the Hector Food Pantry. In honor of his joyous nature, a Halloween bash will be thrown in the future.
