David Lee Russell, age 74, of Odessa, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. David was born in Corning, NY on April 10th, 1946 the son of the late, Charles and Mary (Smith) Russell. He served in the US Army stationed in Korea during his service. He married Penny Lee Wyre in Watkins Glen on November 15th, 1969. He worked for Akzo Salt Company from 1970 until his retirement in 2005. He built many hot rods and enjoyed fishing. David is survived by his wife Penny Lee Russell, son James (Christe) Russell, Four Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his five sisters Betty, Jane, Margaret, Joyce and Dot and his brother Duane. His family wishes to extend a special appreciation to the Odessa Rescue, Schuyler County Sheriff's Office, and the Schuyler County Volunteer Ambulance Association. In keeping with his families wishes there will be no services. Arrangements are with the Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, Montour Falls, NY.
