Obituary

Donald "George" William Bruman, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls. George was born on October 12, 1931 in Elmira, NY. He proudly served as a Marine during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his first wife, Orleen, daughter, Kathleen Overhiser, and son, Brady Vaughn. He is survived by his wife, Angelita; daughters, Janice (Scott) Young, Deborah (Mark) Holton, Diana (William) Vaughn-Russell, and Debbie (Roger) Matthews; son, Edward (Susan) Vaughn, Jr.; and son-in-law, Edward Overhiser. He also leaves behind ten grandsons, six granddaughters, three great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to his caregivers at Seneca View and The Falls Home. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 4-6 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10:00 am at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Odessa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Seneca View Activity Fund.
