Donald S. Mason, Sr., 69, of Tyrone, NY, passed away on May 5, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Don was the son of Stanley and Lora Mason who predeceased him, as well as sister Lora Belle. Surviving Don are his best friend and wife of eleven years Lynne Mason; sons Donald of Austin TX, James (Tanya) of Wellesboro, PA, Stanley (Heather) of Watkins Glen, NY; daughter Roxane (Arthur) Pierce of Watkins Glen, NY; stepchildren Michael (Holly) Dailey, Shannon (Tony) Gates, John Dailey, Jr., Nancy (Larry) Spears; five grandchildren Duane, Christina, Elizabeth, Gregory, and Michael; six step grandchildren: Stacey Jr., Jasmine, Daniel, Abigail, Austin, and Ashley; one great granddaughter; brother Charles Mason of Lansing, NY and sister Sharon (Ronald) Peppard of Odessa, NY. Don was a past member of both Tyrone and Monterey Volunteer Fire Departments. He held many jobs throughout his lifetime including Cargill Salt, Perry Construction, and was owner and operator of Don's Towing. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Don's life on May 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Genesee Street, Montour Falls, NY, followed by a reception at the "Lucky 20 Club" directly across from Don and Lynne's home. .
