Donald Jay McCracken, 68, of Alpine, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at home. He was born in Beaver Dams on March 16, 1949, the son of the late Richard Jay and Helen A. McCracken. Donald was the owner of "Triple D Bar & Grill/Glass & Grocery". He was predeceased by his wife Cynthia McCracken in 1996. He is survived by two sons, Donald Chris (Angela) McCracken of Cortland, and Daniel Jason (Ashley) McCracken of Watkins Glen; two brothers, Rick McCracken of Elmira and Jim McCracken of Horseheads; and four grandchildren, Kendall McCracken, Madalynn McCracken, Riley and Cole Hudson. Don will be buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery at the convenience of his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
