Edith A. Kelly, 76, of Burdett, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, peacefully at home. She was born on December 23rd, 1945, the daughter of the late Francis "Pompey" and Edith Specchio. She is also pre-deceased by her companion Donald Romeo. She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-laws Theodore & Patricia Specchio and James & Kathy Specchio. Her Children Craig (Cindy) Kelly, Randy (Amy) Kelly, Kim (Tim Lock) Kelly, Corie (Andy) Stansfield and Gary (Brenda) Kelly. Her Grandchildren Andrew Kelly, Kari-Ann (Taylor) Gates, Joshua (Stacey) Kelly, Jacob (Katie) Kelly, Alycia (Craig) Bianco, Samantha Steinruck, Brittany (James) Kelly, Taylor (Dalton) Kelly, Braeden Lock, Joseph (Courtney) Stansfield, Jessica (Christopher) Duane, Zachary (Makenzi) Kelly, Kendal (Katelyn) Crout, and 11 great Grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her best friend and "sister" Marge Arcangeli and by the father of her children Gary Kelly. She spent her life as a homemaker and made a career out of raising children; her own, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. In addition to her own family, she helped touched the lives of over forty children and their families by being a childcare provider. Edie attended Watkins Glen High School and has resided in Burdett, NY her entire life. Besides being a beloved "Gram", "GG" and "Bam Bam", she enjoyed her flower gardens, watching her birds and attending her great grandchildren's sporting events. Edie was a devoted member of the Burdett Presbyterian church. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 16th, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Haughey-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 119 Fifth St., Watkins Glen, NY. Her memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm.
