Rev. Elaine Stotenbur White, age 80, of Montour Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. Elaine was born in Pittsfield, MA on April 2, 1945, to Ralph H. and Doris E. (Hunt) Stotenbur. Elaine was a graduate of Odessa-Montour Central School District, Class of 1963. She went on to receive a Bachelors of Arts degree from SUNY Buffalo in 1967 and a Masters of Divinity from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in 1985. Elaine was a United Methodist minister serving a number of churches in the Upper New York Conference. She was also active in the community, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and serving as an election worker. Elaine is predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Sarah Stotenbur Morse. She is survived by her children, Lealon Martin "Marty" White, Jr., of Candor, NY and Danae Eck of Elmira Heights, NY; and grandchildren, Tyler (Taylor) White, Sean Eck, Jr., and Terrence Eck, all of Elmira Heights, NY. Elaine's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility and Bethany Courtyards Assisted Living for their kind and compassionate care. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 1-2pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. Elaine's funeral service will follow at 2pm.
