Eleanor R. Green, 94, of Montour Falls, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born in Dundee on May 13, 1922, the daughter of the late Merton and Viola (Florence) Rose. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1940 and went on to work at Eclipse in Elmira Heights for 33 years. Eleanor was a member of the Glen Baptist Church in Watkins Glen. She enjoyed watching television and spending time with her kitty cats. She was predeceased by her husband Albert D. Green and by a brother, Richard Rose. She is survived by her sister, Alta Rockwell of Painted Post; brother, Alton (Marie) Rose of Corning; sister-in-law, Lois Rose of Mocksville, NC; nephews, Eric Rose, Mike Rose; nieces, Bonnie Simmons, Susan Austin and Terri Austin. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Glen Baptist Church, 3311 Reading Rd., Watkins Glen. Private burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Glen Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
