Obituary

Elmer C. Newberry, 90, of Montour Falls, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Seneca View Nursing Facility. He was born in Alpine on May 14, 1924. Elmer served with the US Army during WWII. He was a self- employed carpenter and also drove school bus locally. He was a member of the Watkins Glen VFW and the Montour Moose Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve Newberry, his son Gabriel Bush, and grandsons Kenneth and Shane Bush. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Anna Bush of Montour Falls; granddaughter, Tina James of Montour Falls; and four grandchildren, Shane, Dylan, Pepsi, and Paris. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 2-3 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm.
