The world stood still and Elwyn L. Blank got off at the gates of heaven on June 4, 2017 at 1:45 am. Elwyn left behind his wife, Joyce (Miller) Blank and his three children: Pamela Jarvis, Christopher and Trenton Blank and their families. Elwyn was a wonderfully dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had nine grandchildren, and ten great grand-children. He was the ninth child of Charles and Leona (Thompson) Blank. Elwyn has one living sibling, Paul David Blank of Beaver Dam, N.Y. Elwyn was a veteran who served in the Army in occupied Germany. He was a Mechanic by trade, and was a skilled Carpenter, Plumber, and Electrician, who built his own home in Burdett. He had a workshop where he made toys for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elwyn is deeply missed. His Memorial Service will be on June 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Beaver Dam's United Methodist Church. The interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Reading Center on June 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Church of Beaver Dams or Burdett, NY, or to one's charity of choice in Elwyn's name.
