Emily Anne Johnson, 27, of Mecklenburg, NY, died unexpectedly in an accident on Friday, July 28, 2023. She was born in Montour Falls, NY on July 8, 1996 the daughter of Harry and Robin (Smalley) Johnson and graduated high school in 2013. Emily enjoyed serving the customers where she worked at Mazourek Farms in Newfield. She recently took a great interest in small equipment repair while working with Richard and Bob her Mazourek family. In her youth she was a member of 4-H, where her love for horses began, and she was able to spend many hours at Dun Roamin Farms doing chores and riding. She participated in productions with Lake Country Players beginning at the age of 5. She enjoyed shooting darts and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She also loved spending time with the love of her life, Chris Housenecht, his family and their dogs, Lyla and Rambo. She is survived by her parents, Pete and Robin Johnson; her boyfriend, Chris Housenecht; son, Kayson of Robbinsville, NC; three sisters, Amber Johnson (Jamal Grow) of Boone, NC, Lydia Johnson (Matt Simmons) of Montour Falls and Laura Reynolds of Montour Falls; two brothers, Caleb Johnson of Watkins Glen and Jared Johnson (Mariah Phillips) of Watkins Glen, NY; and by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 12-1 pm at the Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church, 2075 Chambers Rd., Beaver Dams, NY. A Celebration of her life will begin at 1:00 pm at the church followed by burial in Montour Cemetery.
