Esther Louise Starkweather, age 93, of Montour Falls, died on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. Esther was born on October 7, 1926 in Wellsboro, PA. She was married to the late Sterry Jay Starkweather. Esther was a laboratory technician for the US Food & Nutrition at Cornell University before her retirement. Esther is survived by one daughter and two sons, Drs. Jo Anne and Dalton Bigbee of Tahlequah, OK, William Starkweather of Maurepas, LA, and Robert Starkweather of Montour Falls; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Esther was predeceased by her husband Sterry Jay Starkweather in 1986, and by her brothers and sisters. In keeping with Esther's wishes, there will be no services. Vedder and Scott Funeral Home of Montour Falls is assisting the family.
