Frances "Pam" Slater, 98, a longtime resident of Geneva, NY, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Elmira, NY. She was born in Vancouver, Canada on October 8, 1925, the daughter of the late Henry and Frances Walden. Pam served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII as one of the first female air traffic controllers. Pam was office manager for Elderlee, Inc. in Geneva for many years, retiring in the late 1980's. She enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and her dogs. Pam is survived by her two sons, Stephen (Shirley) Slater of Linfield, PA and Barry (Jean) Slater of Canandaigua, NY; daughter, Paula Slater of Schenectady, NY; sister, Merilee Walden of Princeton, British Columbia; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
