Genevieve (Grover) Lewis Dean passed away on October 31, 2012. She was born on April 3, 1919 in Alpine, NY to her parents Chester and Maude (Zimmer) Grover. She was married to her first husband, E. Fay Lewis Jr. and to Harry Dean who predeceased her. Genevieve is survived by her sons, Bernard (Bud) I. and Cheryl Lewis and Rick J. & Pattie Lewis along with five grandchildren, four step grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. Sister & Brother in law: Pat & Eugene Gardiner along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dean was a member of the Alpine United Methodist Church for over 80 years, a member of the American Auxiliary for over 65 years and the past District 6th Chairman of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also an avid fisherman and loved her puppies. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Monday, November 5, 2012, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Her funeral service will be held there following visitations at 2:30 PM. The Rev. Larry Westbrook will officiate.
