Gordon James Searles, age 77, of Montour Falls, NY formerly of Smith Valley (Mecklenburg) entered unto rest on March 27th, 2021 in Montour Falls. Gordon was born in Montour Falls, NY on November 4th, 1943, the son of the late Ward and Anna Searles. He was a graduate of Odessa-Montour High School and had attended Cornell University and West Point Academy. Gordon served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked on his parents farm and in the computer service. He loved baseball, football, track, and theatre. Gordon is survived by two sisters, Rose Ann and Susan of Odessa, NY; a brother, Fordyce of The Villages, FL; two nieces, Bridgette Searles and Brennen Riddick. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Amy Searles and his maternal grandparents, James and Alice McGrane. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 10:00am at the Union Cemetery of Hector in Burdett, NY.
