Grace L. Stratton

Grace Louise Stratton, 64, of Hector, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was born on January 11, 1962 in Montour Falls, NY the daughter of the late George and Doris (Osborne) Beese.

Grace graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1980. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for many years at Reconstructive Home in Ithaca and Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls. She also worked as a part time cook at the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department and was an inspector with Schuyler County Board of Elections.

She was a member of the Hector Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose at Montour Falls Moose Lodge. Grace enjoyed camping, crocheting and watching Drag Racing.

Grace married her husband, Rick, on May 26, 1990. Grace loved her family, friends and everyone she met. Even though she couldn’t have her own children, she had many nieces, nephews and adopted children. The world will be a quieter and emptier place without her.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Stratton; brothers, John (Kathleen) Beese and Rob (Lisa) Beese; and by many nieces and nephews.
