Harry "Ted" Landon, 63, of Burdett, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at home. He was born on August 2, 1951 in Montour Falls, the son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Everts) Landon and attended Odessa- Montour High School. Ted proudly served in the US Air Force from 1971-1974. His deepest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his kind and generous heart, fun-loving spirit, endless sense of humor and "tell it like it is" attitude. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Laurie; children, Tina (Patrick) Smith of Syracuse, Jennifer Landon (Derek) of Ithaca, Tracy Landon (Mike) of Newfield, Gary (Margaret) Tuttle of Hector, Greg (Jamie) Tuttle of Burdett, and Gretta (Chris) Zafonte of Burdett; mother-in-law Jean Pike; sisters, Wilma (Doug) Freelove of Ithaca and Sharon (Bill) Bryington of Kentucky; brothers, Stanley (Betty) Landon of Montour, Joe (Charlene) Landon of Alpine, and Jimmy (Caroline) Landon of Virginia; grandchildren, Zackary, Brooke, Kelsey, Adam, Landon, Courtney, Brittany, Jordan, Haleigh, Harmonei, Laurie, Stella and Travis; and many other loving family members. He was predeceased by his siblings Bill Landon, Bob Landon, and Joanne Fraboni. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at the family home at 4225 White Tail Lane in Burdett on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Burdett Fire Department.
