Helen Sylvene (Sally) Flood Age 87, of Interlaken December 8th 2012 Helen Sylvene Flood (Sally) passed away Saturday night, December 8th at The Homestead of Penn Yan, NY where she resided the past three years. She was born in Reynoldsville, NY on June 30th 1925, the daughter of Aubrey and Mabel Drake. Sally graduated from Odessa High School and later married Matt M. Flood on September 14, 1946. They and their sons operated dairy and crop farms in the Ovid, Odessa and Interlaken area for a number of years. Sally was predeceased by her husband in 2011 and grandson Daniel in 2008. She is survived by her three sons; James (Nancy) of Interlaken, NY, Robert (Lindsey) of Lakemoor, IL, Thomas (Helen) of Pensacola, FL, and daughter -in-law, Peggy Flood of Ovid; ten grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was very proud of her large family and well known for her hospitality and her Apple Treasure Cookies. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Vedder and Scott Funeral Home of Montour Falls. Per her request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
