James David "Dave" Elliott, age 70, of Beaver Dams, NY, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He was born on October 29, 1954 in Elmira, NY to the late Perry M. and Betty Jane (Coats) Elliott. Dave graduated from Horseheads High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force, previously being stationed in Thailand. He then went on to become a corrections officer, devoting many years of service at Willard Correctional Facility. Dave is survived by his daughters, Alyssa Elliott and Amber Carson; only grandchild, Lilly Jane Elliott, with whom he had a special bond and loved very much; his longtime companion, Melody Fivie Randolph; siblings, Kathy Rhoads, Mark (Kim) Elliott, Lori (Jim) Winfield, and Perry Elliott; brother-in-law, Michael Farrell; former spouse, Barbara Slater Elliott; along with many other close family and friends. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his life-long friend and brother-in-law, Brian "Butch" Rhodes; and sister, Vickey Farell. A memorial service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
