Janet L. Teeter, 84, of Cayuta, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 1, 1934, the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Winguard) Lore. She graduated from Ketterlinus High School in St. Augustine, Florida. Janet was a member of the Quackenbush Hill Baptist Church in Corning. She was a horticulturist at Cornell for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Durwood Teeter; a sister, Mary Alice Masters; and brothers, David and Harold Lore. She is survived by her children, Gary Teeter, Michelle Teeter both of Cayuta, Brian (Michelle) Teeter of St. Louis, MO, and Carter Teeter of Cayuta; sisters, Sharon Teeter of NC and Janice Davis of St. Augustine, FL; eleven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 9:30-11:00 am at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St. Montour Falls. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 am followed by burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Quackenbush Hill Baptist Church.
