Jeffrey C. Buchanan, 62, of Sayre, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at home. Born in Elmira on July 26, 1955, he was the son of Clair Buchanan and Mary Jane Doolittle and was a graduate of Odessa-Montour High School. Jeff retired from Robert Packer Hospital where he worked for over 40 years. He loved to fish, and enjoyed gardening and music. He was predeceased by his father, and by a step sister, Debbie Rice. Surviving are his mother, Mary Jane Doolittle of Deltona, FL; brothers, Michael Buchanan of Odessa, David Buchanan of Deltona, FL, Christopher (Roe) Buchanan of Montour Falls, and Nathan Buchanan of Merritt Island, FL; step-siblings, Gary Doolittle of Bath, Terry (Tom) Vine of Big Flats, and Thomas Doolittle of Montour Falls; best friend Gary (Karen) Eltringham of Sayre, PA; and by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 12-2 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Watkins Glen.
