Joanne Tanner, age 65, of Odessa, NY passed away at the home of her son on Thursday, November 25th, 2021. Joanne was born in Montour Falls, NY on July 13th, 1956, the daughter of the late, George and Iona Tanner. She was a graduate of Odessa-Montour High School. She had worked for Home Depot in Ithaca, was a school bus driver for Odessa-Montour, had worked as a bank teller, as well as, worked at her parents business George A. Tanner Inc. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church of Odessa. Joanne enjoyed music and singing and doing puzzles. She loved to spend time with her family. Joanne is survived by her sons, John and his wife, Melinda and Eric and his wife, Chianna; five grandchildren, Savannah, Penelope, Todd, Isaiah, and George; sisters, Patricia Frasier and Lois Hubbell both of Alpine; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY 14865. Her funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Odessa, NY.
