John C. Dunham, 57, of Montour Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois on August 20, 1956. He was baptized a Christian at Southside Christian Alliance Church. John graduated from Odessa-Montour High School, Hudson Valley Community College and attended Cornell University. He was a supervisor at Vanguard Printing in Ithaca for 33 years, where employees admired and looked up to him. He was an avid reader and history buff, enjoyed trivia, model airplanes and raising reptiles. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Dunham Collins, his uncle, Dean Dunham, and friend Harold Harrington. He is survived by his beloved wife of ten years, Jean; his daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Saunders of Horseheads; step sons, Matt Truesdail of Candor and Mike (Tesha) Truesdail of Watkins Glen; his aunt, Diane Dunham; grandson, William Truesdail; in laws, Pat and Mac McCarty, Deb and Joe Harrington, Don and Joyce Quick, Leorah and Ron Slate, Don and Lynn Quick, Nancy Snyder, Eric and Charlotte Slate; dear friend, Frank Wixsom; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Montour Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
