John R. Kellogg, 82, of Odessa, and formerly of Dundee, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at home. He was born in Montour Falls on February 9, 1935, the son of the late Ray and Lena Kellogg. John was an operating engineer with Local 832 in Rochester. He previously worked at D & T Franzese in Watkins Glen, and R.C. Billings in Bath. He was predeceased by his first wife, Agnes Kellogg, his brother, George Kellogg, and stepson, Ron Gaylor. John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Kellogg; children, Theresa Miller, Gina Tremmel of San Antonio, TX, John Kellogg, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Earl (Michele) Gaylor of Millport, and Mary Griffiths of Odessa; many grandchildren, especially Brandon and Thomas Gaylor, Krista Kasper, Kara Kennedy, Michael Kellogg and Britany Tremmel; and special great grandchildren, Gianna and Elijah Gaylor, and Levi Kennedy. Services will be private. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee. Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
