John Lederman, 77, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Thursday, November18, 2021 at Corning Hospital. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on May 15, 1944, the son of the late William and Magelia Lederman and attended Watkins Glen High School. John was a truck driver for Agway for 26 years. He was a member of the Montour Moose Lodge and the Mechanics Club. John loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fixing old cars, carpentry, gardening, tinkering on projects and making rock and metal sculptures. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis L. (Sherman) Lederman; two sons, Michael and Donna Lederman of Campbell, NY and Steven and Julie Lederman of Watkins Glen; sister, Jean Woodward of Montour Falls; two brothers, William "Bill" Lederman of Montour Falls and Jack Lederman of Owego; three grandchildren, Michelle Eldridge (Lederman), Carla Lederman and Aleksasha Scolaro; and five great grandchildren, Magelia Lederman-Nichols, Lucas Eldridge, David Eldridge, Dominic Scolaro and Whitney Scolaro. He was predeceased by his brothers, Carl, Arthur and Bob Lederman. Services will be held in the spring. Burial will be in Montour Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
