Josephine N. Tomassi

Josephine N. Tomassi, 88, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born in Montour Falls, NY on January 9, 1938 the daughter of Pio and Michelina (Scarapiccio) Tomassi.

Josephine graduated from Watkins Glen High School. She was a cook at Glen Motor Inn and was in food service at the Jefferson Hotel and Watkins Glen Central School. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Dominick Tomassi, Michael Tomassi and John Tomassi.

Josephine is survived by a brother, Ralph Tomassi; sister, Marguerite DeFilippo; and by several nieces and nephews.

Josephine will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Watkins Glen, NY at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Seneca View Skilled Nursing for the care and compassion shown to Josephine throughout her time there.
