Kathleen M. Estes, 67, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was born in Montour Falls, NY on May 11, 1955 the daughter of Richard and Mary Lou (Emmons) Haight. Kathleen worked for 26 years in Civil Service, and later worked as a Teaching Assistant in Watkins Glen Central School for 16 years, retiring in 2021. She was a former member of the PTA and PTO. Kathleen loved her dogs and was supportive of Defense for Devon. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Bobbie Estes; son, Matthew Estes of Syracuse, step-sons, Michael (Jessica) Estes of Murray, KY and Kevin (Dana) Estes of Paducah, KY; step-daughter, Krisi Estes of Cadiz, KY; her mother, Mary Lou Haight of Watkins Glen; brother, Michael (Mary Kay) Haight of Norman, OK; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Haight. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 1-2 pm at Haughey-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 119 Fifth St., Watkins Glen, NY. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm followed by burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
