Kay Goossen, 72, of Montour Falls, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022. She was born in Montour Falls on January 13, 1950, the daughter of the late Fred and Thelma (Berry) Goossen and graduated from Watkins Glen Central School. Kay worked in the cafeteria and as a cleaner at Watkins Glen Central School for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montour Falls. Kay loved serving others, as she volunteered a lot of her time working with children through 4-H and Vacation Bible School. She also loved her farm animals. She is survived by her brother, Harry (Gen) Goossen of Montour Falls; two nephews, Ronald (Rhonda) Goossen and Lyle (Rachel) Goossen; niece, Debbie (Ted) Pipe; and by several great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Fred Goossen, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Her funeral will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Hector.
