LaRae J. Barney, 81, formerly of Beaver Dams, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls. She was born in Corning on January 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Robert and Sally (Skillman) Webster. LaRae was a homemaker, where she made her family her number one priority. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church in Beaver Dams. LaRae is survived by her sons, Kevin Barney of Pine City, Tim (Kathy) Barney and Dennis (Lisa) Barney both of Beaver Dams; a brother, Ladd Webster of Addison; and by several children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Carlton Barney on August 21, 2016. A celebration of LaRae's life will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 1-5 pm at the home of Dennis and Lisa Barney, 1245 County Road 19, Beaver Dams. Burial will be in Beaver Dams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Schuyler County, 124 Marina Dr., Montour Falls, NY 14865.
