Larry J. Hoover, 74, of Watkins Glen, New York passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at home. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on September 9, 1948 the son of the late Robert and Hilda Hoover. Larry received his Bachelor's Degree from Elmira College. He went on to serve honorably with US Army during the Vietnam War. Larry worked for Shepard Niles in Montour Falls for 10 years and later retired from BMS Manufacturing in Watkins Glen, NY where he was a purchasing agent for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion and an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orange. Larry was also a vintage car enthusiast, who had a passion for MG sports cars. Larry is survived by three daughters, Kerry Hoover and Meagan (Scott) Yaw both of Watkins Glen, Shawna Hoover of Kathleen, GA; brother, David (Becky) Hoover of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren, Isabella and Rory Yaw; and by one niece, Abigail Hoover. A private service will be held by the family. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion or the American Heart Association
