Havens, Lena A. age 88 of Montour Falls, NY passed away on December 2, 2011 at Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 5 to 7 PM. Her funeral and committal service will be held there following visitation at 7 PM. The Rev. Jane Winters will officiate. Mrs. Havens was predeceased by her husband Earl on May 5, 1987 and is survived by her children, David of Montour Falls, NY, Douglas of Fultonville, NY, Thomas of Watkins Glen, NY and Joyce of Montour Falls, NY. Granddaughter, Keri Havens of Bremerton, Washington. Brothers: Gordon Shaffer of Garland, TX, Vincent Shaffer of Mecklenburg, NY and Leo Shaffer of Brady Camp, PA. Sisters: Stella Freas of Elmira, NY and Sandy McGrath of Brockport, NY and several Nieces and Nephews. Her Husband, Earl Havens, Father, Arthur Shaffer, Mother, Clara Beck Shaffer, Sister, Esther Helper, Brothers, Lloyd, Richard and Robert predeceased Mrs. Havens.
