Lucille Ann Allen, 75, of Beaver Dams, New York, passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2026. Born on October 3, 1950, in Corning, New York, she was the cherished daughter of the late William and Margaret Bryington.
Lucy, lovingly known as “Mema”, was the heart and soul of her family. For 53 beautiful years, she was the devoted wife of Milton Allen Sr., standing faithfully by his side through every chapter of life. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She devoted 17 years of her life working as a housekeeper at the Radisson.
She was a loving mother to her sons, Milton Allen Jr. (Dawn Smith) Luke Allen (Suannah), and her daughter, April Morseman (Marshall). Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
Mema adored her grandchildren: Zack Allen (Kaylyn Jimmerson), Addy Allen, Dana Allen (Larry Adams), Jocelyn Sawyer (Dominic Woodward), Breanna Sawyer (Stuart Perry), Kendra Bartholomay, Kelsey Morseman, Madisyn Morseman and Dalton Plumley. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Ariella, Desirae, Brycen, Ryver, and Brelyn, who brought endless light into her life.
She is also survived by her brother, Kenny Bryington; her sister, Sheila Bartholomay; her brothers-in-law Albert Allen (Audrey), Tom Allen, and Keith Allen (Maxine); along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Lucy was predeceased by her siblings William, Clyde, Dorothy, and Nancy; her beloved grandson Dustin; her brothers-in-law John, Rick, and Tim; and her sisters-in-law Sharon and Robin.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — puzzles, reading, watching Hallmark movies and game shows, cooking and baking, and most of all, playing games and spending time with her family and friends. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and unconditional love. She had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for.
Lucy’s legacy is one of selfless love, strength, and devotion to family. She raised not only her children but helped raise her grandchildren alongside her beloved husband, shaping their lives with her kindness and guidance. Her love will continue to live on in every story shared, every recipe passed down, and every family gathering filled with laughter.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Beaver Dams Fire Department, 1165 County Road 19, Beaver Dams, NY. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the Beaver Dams Fire Department or the American Heart Association in her memory.
