IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucinda G.
Bacon
November 30, 1936 – September 24, 2025
With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Cindy, Lucinda G. Bacon, who went to be with our Lord on Wednesday the 24 th of September 2025. Born July 3, 1937 she was the daughter of Virginia M. and Stanley E. Casselberry of Millport, New York. She formally lived in Watkins Glen and recently lived in Montour Falls.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Roger A. Bacon 1995 and her son Roger P. Bacon 2013. She is survived by her children, Faith (Terry) Casbeer of Horseheads, Shelly Bacon of Georgia and Valerie Bacon of Tennessee; sister, Arlene (Robert) Gulley of Pine City; and brother, Paul (Nancy) Casselberry of Millport, New York. She has six grandchildren: Blaine, Nicole, Derek, Haley, Jason, & Amber; 8 great grandchildren, Ryan, Brittney, Isabella, Ellie, Landon, Brayden, Autumn and Ari; and one great great grandchild Kade.
As we reflect on life beautifully lived, we remember Cindy whose heart was as big as her love for family, friends, and every little creature of God's creation. Known for her warm smile and unforgettable collection of Pig themed treasures, she embraced joy in the simple and whimsical. Faith guided her path as a devoted Christian, Sunday school teacher, and a longtime member of the church choir. Whether she was teaching, singing, or sharing the gospel she left behind a legacy of kindness and devotion. She also found great inspiration in the teachings of Joyce Meyer and Billy Graham. With a camera always nearby, she captured life's moments; big and small and delighted in printing and sharing photos, especially of her beloved grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her heart. Camping adventures with her husband, visits to country shows, and everyday laughter with family and friends filled her days with memories worth cherishing. She was dedicated to her hometown where she worked as a housekeeper and gave of her time generously through Girl Scouts, 4-H, and countless acts of encouragement to those who needed a helping hand. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit comes to shine, every song sung, every photo treasured and every story shared by those who loved her.
